    Seven of my friends and I stayed at the East Northlands Street property in Scottsdale, checking in on November 28 and out on December 5.
    Overall, the stay was okay, with some annoyances that anyone who will rent this property in the future, should be aware of. My review is not meant to be negative, but informative.
    For 8 guys on a golf trip, this is not the most comfortable place to stay. The bunk beds are not meant for adults. One person had to move a mattress to the laundry room and sleep on the floor.
    I slept in the king size bed and each morning had to stretch out my back muscles, the mattress was sub standard and uncomfortable.
    When first using the outdoor BBQ, the heat from the grills was not uniform, and we were barely able to complete our cooking of some burgers, as the propane ran out. The spare tank sitting beside the BBQ was empty, should have been full. I contacted the number I was given and someone did come look at the BBQ but not sure what they did other than change the propane. We tested the BBQ again and it was still not working properly so we never used it again for the rest of our stay. Disappointing.
    We were able to use the outdoor propane fire pit for the first couple of nights, but then it stopped working. We assumed that it was supplied by a permanent propane line, as we could not find any trace of where a tank was stored. I notified the Concierge of this, but it was never taken care of.
    And then there was the electricity in the kitchen, on day 4 or 5 a breaker kicked off and after notifying the Concierge, it was never taken care of. We tried to get into the panel but it was screwed down tight and there were no tools available to open it. So we just went with using the coffee maker on the floor of the living room and making toast in the master bedroom on the floor.
    Despite being told a few times that there would be someone on their way that particular day to fix the aforementioned issues, not too much was done at all.
    Lastly, I had sent a message on day 1 or day 2 of our stay to ask about the desert dune buggy tours and if they could recommend a particular company to book with. I received an answer on the day we checked out.
    Despite all these events, we had a great time, but it certainly makes me wonder about the touting of a “Platinum Experience”. More like a “bronze experience”.

    Starting with the positives: the sheets were clean on the beds and the appliances worked as expected.

    Otherwise, there were several small issues, some which are understandable if you are familiar with home rentals and others which are simply baffling. For instance, half of the soup dispensers in this house were filled with water (?). There was no welcome folder and after calling on the first day we never received one. The trash outside was piled high, smelling and overflowing out of the bins. It took three or four days after reporting it for someone to come deal with it. The pool hadn’t been cleaned in probably a month and had a nasty film floating on top of the water. It did get cleaned two days before our trip was over. Light bulbs needed to be replaced, the upstairs bathroom faucet was broken and would spray water onto the mirror.

    This property looks like it’s being paid to be cleaned by a third party service that does not report damages to the management and frankly I doubt it’s often (if ever) inspected before it’s rented.

    The Platinum Experience made an extra effort to make sure our group had an excellent stay. They provided recommendations on where our group should go in Scottsdale and as well as fun activities for our group to reserve.

    We didn’t actual need any of the extra services. The property was perfect for our family’s needs. Nice neighborhood, great beds, loved the extra activities the house provided.

    My family & I stayed here for just a few short days and wish there had been more days available to stay longer! It was absolutely beautiful! It had everything we needed and any questions or concerns – they were quick with a response! Definitely recommend!

    My stay has been fantastic! Perfect location, clean room, parking is great! Cute little studio that are actually rental units, and if I lived in Phoenix I would totally live here! 🙂

    My only complaint is the shower curtain was too short!! I kept flooding the bathroom…

    At first, we rented a VRBO in Mesa that was not at all, as advertised. After complaining to Home Away, they did set us up with a unit in Phoenix with the Platinum Experience.
    We were very thankful that a unit was found so soon, as we were there, with no place to stay. Although we were provided a condo at the last minute, we found that the unit had not been cleaned from the previous tenant. Fortunately Leslie called to check with us how our checkin went. They were good enough to give us our first night free.
    The condo was comfortable. It was not a “walk around” neighborhood. Everything was good, except it was more a “resident” type condo, than a resort.
    All appliances worked well. All else was fine.
    The best was the good communications and promptness of them.

    Although I would not rent this unit again, I would use Platinum Experience.
