    Seven of my friends and I stayed at the East Northlands Street property in Scottsdale, checking in on November 28 and out on December 5.
    Overall, the stay was okay, with some annoyances that anyone who will rent this property in the future, should be aware of. My review is not meant to be negative, but informative.
    For 8 guys on a golf trip, this is not the most comfortable place to stay. The bunk beds are not meant for adults. One person had to move a mattress to the laundry room and sleep on the floor.
    I slept in the king size bed and each morning had to stretch out my back muscles, the mattress was sub standard and uncomfortable.
    When first using the outdoor BBQ, the heat from the grills was not uniform, and we were barely able to complete our cooking of some burgers, as the propane ran out. The spare tank sitting beside the BBQ was empty, should have been full. I contacted the number I was given and someone did come look at the BBQ but not sure what they did other than change the propane. We tested the BBQ again and it was still not working properly so we never used it again for the rest of our stay. Disappointing.
    We were able to use the outdoor propane fire pit for the first couple of nights, but then it stopped working. We assumed that it was supplied by a permanent propane line, as we could not find any trace of where a tank was stored. I notified the Concierge of this, but it was never taken care of.
    And then there was the electricity in the kitchen, on day 4 or 5 a breaker kicked off and after notifying the Concierge, it was never taken care of. We tried to get into the panel but it was screwed down tight and there were no tools available to open it. So we just went with using the coffee maker on the floor of the living room and making toast in the master bedroom on the floor.
    Despite being told a few times that there would be someone on their way that particular day to fix the aforementioned issues, not too much was done at all.
    Lastly, I had sent a message on day 1 or day 2 of our stay to ask about the desert dune buggy tours and if they could recommend a particular company to book with. I received an answer on the day we checked out.
    Despite all these events, we had a great time, but it certainly makes me wonder about the touting of a “Platinum Experience”. More like a “bronze experience”.

    Starting with the positives: the sheets were clean on the beds and the appliances worked as expected.

    Otherwise, there were several small issues, some which are understandable if you are familiar with home rentals and others which are simply baffling. For instance, half of the soup dispensers in this house were filled with water (?). There was no welcome folder and after calling on the first day we never received one. The trash outside was piled high, smelling and overflowing out of the bins. It took three or four days after reporting it for someone to come deal with it. The pool hadn’t been cleaned in probably a month and had a nasty film floating on top of the water. It did get cleaned two days before our trip was over. Light bulbs needed to be replaced, the upstairs bathroom faucet was broken and would spray water onto the mirror.

    This property looks like it’s being paid to be cleaned by a third party service that does not report damages to the management and frankly I doubt it’s often (if ever) inspected before it’s rented.

    The Platinum Experience made an extra effort to make sure our group had an excellent stay. They provided recommendations on where our group should go in Scottsdale and as well as fun activities for our group to reserve.

    We didn’t actual need any of the extra services. The property was perfect for our family’s needs. Nice neighborhood, great beds, loved the extra activities the house provided.

    My family & I stayed here for just a few short days and wish there had been more days available to stay longer! It was absolutely beautiful! It had everything we needed and any questions or concerns – they were quick with a response! Definitely recommend!

    My stay has been fantastic! Perfect location, clean room, parking is great! Cute little studio that are actually rental units, and if I lived in Phoenix I would totally live here! 🙂

    My only complaint is the shower curtain was too short!! I kept flooding the bathroom…

    At first, we rented a VRBO in Mesa that was not at all, as advertised. After complaining to Home Away, they did set us up with a unit in Phoenix with the Platinum Experience.
    We were very thankful that a unit was found so soon, as we were there, with no place to stay. Although we were provided a condo at the last minute, we found that the unit had not been cleaned from the previous tenant. Fortunately Leslie called to check with us how our checkin went. They were good enough to give us our first night free.
    The condo was comfortable. It was not a “walk around” neighborhood. Everything was good, except it was more a “resident” type condo, than a resort.
    All appliances worked well. All else was fine.
    The best was the good communications and promptness of them.

    Although I would not rent this unit again, I would use Platinum Experience.

    So we came down for a bachelor party recently, and the Best Man found this spot that was fairly central to all of the sports and training camp stuff we were planning to see (which then went sideways due to the human malware spreading), we still made the best of it.

    The house was very clean and every guy had a bed. While we were planning on using the couch and inflatable mattress for all of the guys, we only needed to use the couch for sleeping one night due to travel plans shifting. Otherwise there were enough beds for all of us to be comfortable, with 2 guys each sharing the rooms with the queen beds.

    Otherwise the house was….fine. Kitchen and included cookware was sufficient for our stay with a good selection of tools and utensils, but we had trouble with the dishwasher working so everything had to be done by hand (not too much of a problem with guys taking shifts washing/drying). While there was a hot-tub not seen in the photos, the foosball table was no where to be found (likely broken). Outside the loungers were ripped/torn from prior clients as well as the concrete stools featured in the pictures were no where to be found. As well, the yard is in very different condition than the pictures show, with many more cactus’s and plants in the yard, diving board removed also. The orange tree though is a nice touch, we ate fresh fruit every morning.

    Also one annoyance was the router placement for internet. It sits on one end of the house in the “main” bedroom with explicit instructions not to move it, but as a result of it being on the one end, we were having trouble receiving wireless internet in the living room, and the far side bedroom had no access without coming to one of the main areas. If this could be re-routed to a more central spot that would be a good benefit.

    Also, we had no problem with our checkout, did a quick clean of the house, started doing a load of towels per the instructions, and got out in time to do some more exploring of Scottsdale before our flight back home.

    PROS: Large comfortable house in a relatively quiet neighbourhood.
    – Walking distance to amenities, short driving distance to other spots and areas within Scottsdale/Phoenix.
    – Hot-tub and pool
    – Both indoor and outdoor cooking, plus fruit tree
    – Nice appliances, TV’s in house plus cable package for late night watching

    CONS: Pictures have not been updated in a while, show different features and things no longer as the website says
    – Wear and Tear on things in the house, should be an effort to get those replaced/fixed before the next guest arrives. Especially outside furniture and inside bathrooms in particular (can see hastily repaired damage, but lack of things that clearly were there like towel racks
    – Wireless placement could be improved.

    So overall not a bad spot, could use some changes, updates, and repairs.

    We stayed at a property in Scottsdale with high hopes of a great overall experience. instead, the small things that were issues added up to not having the best time.
    Things that should be taken care of prior to me arriving such as:
    Propane tanks were empty
    The Dryer was not functioning properly
    The hot Tub was un usable until the final day
    The pool cues needed to be replaced which they were but only after I had arrived.
    No ping pong balls until after I arrived and had to ask for them.
    Again, most of these things are small in nature…well except for not being able to do laundry. Now in the property managements defense they did offer and execute sending my clothing out for cleaning which was nice, just not convenient.
    The communication was great and frequent, it was just issues took time to resolve and io didn’t like having to chase stuff down.
    The hot tub was green for days until a pool tech came over. She was very unpleasant and seemed put out by having to fix the water color.
    The property was comfortable and spacious and the pool was the highlight. Disappointed that there was no bean bags for the Corn hole.
    I’d suggest adding a dart board to the game room and the lighting in the back yerd wasn’t very good to use the Bocco ball st night.
    Again, the person I was communicating with was great and she really tried to make everything right.

    We stayed for a weekend with some friends and overall we had a nice time. Check in was smooth and the customer service was great, but the overall cleanliness of the house was a bit of a disappointment as soon as we walked in. The large floor to ceiling windows were dirty and streaked from someone attempting to clean them. The counter tops were stained and the pool wasn’t that clean. Leaves and debris on the surface of the pool I can understand (wind can blow debris in at any point, I used the next to scoop that out), but when the pool has a bunch of stuff at the bottom it just looks dirty. The whole house/property just needed a really nice deep cleaning.

    Other than the cleanliness of the house we had a great time. The communication, check in and check out was easy. It was a great house with lots of amenities and games.

    We stayed in the property at 8326 Camelback Rd

    Overall a good stay. My comments are meant more as information for the rental company to be aware of.
    The AC doesn’t blow into the master bedroom. It was terribly warm, but we were able to just move into the converted garage bedroom which has it’s own wall unit. It should also be included on the house listing that the AC thermostat is locked, and you’re unable to set it below 74. That was an unpleasant surprise the night we arrived.

    Master bath – the ceiling shower head has a leak and sprays everywhere. The toilet appears to be in need of a new flapper valve; it ran a lot.

    Kitchen – several cabinet/drawer pulls are loose. I would also recommend some new oven mitts, as the ones in the house are very worn out and don’t provide much protection

    I gave cleanliness a 3.5 because our feet would quickly become very dirty if walking around barefoot, the ceiling fans had dust on them, and there was a sock (easily spotted) under the master bed from a previous guest. Everything else seemed to be clean.

    Very happy with the rest of the house.

    My stay was absolutely perfect. Upon arrival, the home was immaculate, and the check-in process was very easy! This stay was dog friendly, so I brought my pooches. They had a blast, and I loved the location. Leslie and her team were on the ball through the entire process.
